This Victorian castle resort and National Historic Landmark, located just 90 miles north of New York City has more than 40 theme programs throughout the year, an award-winning eco-friendly 30,000-square foot Spa (voted #3 Hotel Spa in the United States and Canada by Travel + Leisure magazine’s Worlds Best Awards), and an abundance of outdoor activities including hiking on 85 miles of trails, mountain biking, tennis, golf, rock-climbing, ice-skating, cross-country skiing, and more (seasonally available).

During the first weekend of December, Mohonk Mountain House offers one of its most popular programs, Ballroom Dancing Weekend.  Guests of all levels enjoy the foxtrot, tango, waltz, swing, and salsa, as professional dance instructors assist with these dance styles. Three ballroom dances are offered throughout the December 3rd – 5th weekend and Saturday night is a black tie (optional) dance with a live orchestra. This year the George Gee Make-Believe Ballroom Dance Orchestra is featured.
